Compact sewage treatment plants of relatively small capacity are required for use in small residential areas such as remote villages or tourist resorts and villages, where it is highly costly to extend catchments networks to central treatment facilities.
Compact treatments plants may be cost-effective for tourist resorts and villages as three-phase recycled water may be used in irrigating green areas, forestation, plantation and landscaping works.
